Tasha Perreard is the owner of the Well Mother and Child Clinic in Rondebosch, Cape Town. She is a Registered Nurse (trained in the UK), an Internationally and South African Certified Lactation Consultant and also the mum of 11 year old twin girls and an 8 year old son. Tasha is passionate about helping parents-to-be prepare for their parenting journey ahead as well as empowering them and supporting them in the early days of parenthood.

The Well Mother and Child Clinic is a well baby clinic where parents and their babies needs are met in a safe and nurturing environment. We work closely with GP’s, paediatricians, psychologists, psychiatrists, OT’s, physiotherapists and other specialists to ensure that our families receive multidisciplinary care.  We offer antenatal classes, well baby checks, lactation support, advice on solids, advice on fussy babies and administer both the government and private vaccines. We are also a proud member of Sprout Paediatric Practice- a multi-disciplinary practice offering holistic and integrative care to children.

When do you feel most like yourself?

Being with my kids and running in the forest with my dog and friends/ husband.

What are you lowkey obsessed with?

Behind the scenes of movies (particularly Wicked at the moment!)

What’s the one item you always have in your bag (other than keys and phone)?

Tissues, Fisherman’s Friends mints.

Describe your ideal 'indulgent Sunday'?

Run in the forest, breakfast at my favourite brekky spot, then a massage! 

What’s one non-negotiable in your daily routine?

Putting on my Heliocare SPF and brushing teeth! 

What’s your ideal morning routine — the one you wish you could do every day?

Waking up to no alarm, having a cup of tea in bed, reading a few pages of my book, going for a run/ exercise class.

How do you stay grounded when life gets chaotic?

Running in the forest. Stretching.

What’s one lesson you’ve learned recently that changed your perspective?

Saying no is also ok! You dont have to say yes to everything and everyone. Putting yourself first is super important. Having boundaries.

What’s one thing you hope people take away from following you?

That they become empowered to be the best possible parents that they can be. Not the “perfect” parent but the “good enough” parent. 

What’s something you’re proud of that not many people know about?

I love playing the piano and saxophone and am loving teaching my kids and passing my passion for music on to them.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Stop the FOMO! 

What content does your algorithm always feed to you?

Gender reveal reels. I get the most ridiculous, elaborate gender reveal reels.

What rituals or routines keep you balanced/grounded/connected?

Non negotiable early morning runs with my running group girls on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings.

What is your ultimate pet peeve?

People chewing/ drinking/ swallowing noisily!
